Hello Group

My name is Robert.  This is my first post.  I have been trying to keep up with this group for some time but just now able to post.  Thank you for letting me join this group.
I have been around chickens most of my life(63 years) . It was just a few years ago that I found out about Nankins.  I am very much interested in getting some for as of now I do not have any.  I am interested in raising the heritage breeds to help preserve them.  I have a small flock of Dominiques and I have some Dorking.  I very much want to add the Nankins to my flock.
I have two grown sons, three grandchildren and one wife.  I also raise a few rabbits, mini rex and Dutch.  I live in Union Grove NC.  I am a moderator of NC Rabbits an internet group.  If you have an interest in rabbits then come join us.  NcRabbits  A Yahoo group.
I am very interest in getting either eggs or chicks or grown birds.  If anyone can help me with this please let me know  Rbrtwl@aol.com   or 704-539-5625.

Smiley  Welcome!!!    I'm pretty new, too.  I'll tell you, tho, you'll love the Nankins.  They have such a sweet personality.  And not just when you have food......
I'd send some birds, but am just starting myself.  Actually, I'm also looking.......
again, welcome.   Laureen  (alias peeplover)

Hello to both of you & welcome to the Nankin forum.  Robert you will love Nankins, they are a rare little breed & are friendly little birds.  Good mothers, good layers & good broodies & on top of that they are quite beautiful.    What more could you ask for.  If anybody on this forum has eggs, chicks, started or grown birds to help Robert out please let him kmow.

Hi Robert,

Welcome!  I'm also in NC (Chatham County).  I have a few Nankins I could spare right now, and will have eggs available later this year (I'm hatching them for myself at the moment).

If you plan on attending any of the Spring shows in Salisbury, Winston or Greensboro, let me know.  I can bring you something.

Hi Robert.. I'm new as well.  Hope you also can get some nankins soon.  I'm a dutch fan too and used to raise them.  They're a great rabbit.
