I am hoping someone can help... I have a SC Nankin rooster, about a year old.  He has been not well for a few days, and I think he may have sour crop.  He looks puffy in the chest, and is quite droopy.  His comb has fallen to one side, and although he is drinking, he doesn't seem to be getting anything down.  He does vomit up the water and what looks like feed.  We have tried massaging the crop, yogurt, etc., but he is getting worse.  What can we do to help him?  Appreciate any suggestions.

Okay I'm no expert about this. But from what I have heard sour crop smells from the mouth also I believe the coup is squidgy. (It's not a problem I've had before so I have no first hand experience). http://dlhunicorn.conforums.com/index.cgi?board=emergencies&action=display&num=1161893898

Have checked him for any other obvious issues such as mites? In case there is something else going on as well?

If the crop is hard it may be a compacted crop which I believe you need to use olive oil and massage for.
