The Reading and district Bantam club, holds the largest All-Bantam show in the UK, every february in the Northcroft leisure centre, Newbury in Berkshire.
The RPS stages a number of classes for bantam rares, Nankins being one.
Sadly, this year, of the four birds entered, mine was the only one to turn up!! So a win by default, my little s/c pullet took a 1st!!

Lordcluck: I hate it for the breed that there was no more Nankins than that entered in the show. But it it's great your doing your part to get the Nankins out there for everyone to see. And a win is a win. Congratulations! Smiley

Hello Everyone,

I attended the Unifour Show in salisbury, Nc this past Saturday the 6th.  There were 27 Nankins shown by two exhibitors.

Best of Breed & Best Variety--Mary Ann Harley  RC Cock
Reserve of Breed & Best Variety- Dylan Sugiyama  SC Pullet
Reserve Variety  RC-Mary ann Harley Cockerel
Reserve Variety SC- Mary Ann Harley Cockerel

I certainly enjoyed the show.  I got to see some of my chicken buddies.  Charlie Barney was there.  Charlie is reasonsible for our beautifil logo.  Also got to meet the Screaming Chicken & his family.  Bill Wulff of Poultry Press,Tim Bowles,  the Everette brothers,  sweet Herman Hagwood & many others.  I look forward to showing in Greensboro, NC on April 10th.

 Grin Mary Ann,
Sounds like the show was a lot of fun and your birds did well. I sure hope I can make it to one of the bigger shows or even a smaller one where there is some Nankins this year.
