I seem to be having a hard time finding out about shows and swaps.  I get poultry press, but that seems to list the largest shows.  As a new fancier, I'd like to go to as many shows and swaps as possible.  Maybe this site could keep some sort of show listing by state or region and people could post shows or swaps as they become aware of them.  Right now, if it's close enough, I'd go to just about anything.  I'd like to see what terms really mean (crooked toes, BBP, whatever...).  Thanks, Laureen

Try to find a local all breed club to join, they can get you local show info.

Thanks for the suggestion.  Can you tell me what the swaps are?  Is it swap only or are there sales?  Can one ever get decent stock at one?    Laureen

Hey Laureen,

A swap is where you can swap or buy birds.  They are usually quite interesting.  There will be a show & swap in Camden, South Carolina on May 1st & 2nd.  Come on down & join us.
